A Suffolk Wedding at Seckford Hall: The Joyful Union of Tess and Alex

As a wedding photographer, I had the pleasure of capturing the love story of Tess and Alex, two individuals who exuded nothing but positivity and ease throughout the entire wedding planning process. It was clear that this was a couple who knew exactly what they wanted, and their big day reflected that sentiment beautifully.

The wedding preparations began at Tess’s parents’ home in Woodbridge, providing an intimate and cosy atmosphere for the bride and her bridesmaids. The talented hair stylist and artist, Lydia Brooks, worked her magic to create elegant hairstyles that complemented the aesthetic of the wedding perfectly.

The ceremony took place at the charming St Mary’s church in Great Bealings, where Tess’s parents were also wed. The church was adorned with simple, yet stunning wildflowers, creating an atmosphere that felt both romantic and peaceful. Tess was a vision in a delicate Allure dress named Portia in ivory, sourced from The Tailors Cat in Cambridge. The intricate lace detailing, scalloped v-neckline, deep back and soft puddle train perfectly accentuated Tess’s beauty. Alex looked every bit the part of the dashing groom in his traditional morning suit, which perfectly complemented the elegant and classic theme of the wedding.

After the ceremony, we drove to Seckford Hall, where guests were greeted by a beautiful reception with refreshments served in the gardens, and the sun shining down on them. Seckford Hall’s staff provided excellent service, ensuring that every guest felt welcomed and appreciated. After the meal came to the speeches, which were memorable and entertaining. I couldn’t help but laugh along with the guests at one of the best man’s speeches I’ve ever heard!

To honour Alex’s Italian heritage, the reception featured a special touch: coffee and Grappa were served by Alex’s father in the Great Hall. The cake was cut, and the evening guests arrived just as the band, The SERIOUS Hat Band, began to play. They played throughout the night, bringing the wedding party to life and leaving everyone in high spirits.

As a photographer, I could not have asked for a more perfect couple, and Tess and Alex’s wedding was one that I will always hold dear. I wish them nothing but happiness and a lifetime of love together as husband and wife.
